Scouts Collect Over 2.5 Tons of Food for Trinity Food Pantry
On the first weekend of November, several area Scouting troops participated in Narragansett Council’s annual “Scouting for Food” event. Scouts placed door tags on homes indicating pickup dates and returned to collect food.
We are so incredibly blessed that area scouts collected Over 2.5 TONS of food for Trinity’s Food Pantry. Troops included:
- Troop 2 North Scituate (Trinity Church)
- Pack 1 North Scituate Cub Scouts
- Troop 1 North Scituate (Community House)
- Troop 11 (Community House – All Girls)
This will come in very handy over the next few months as food insecurity has been on the rise and is expected to increase further with government funding of food programs facing uncertainty.
If you would like to help support our food pantry, you can always help in the following ways:
- Place non-perishable items in the Red Wagon in the back of the church before services.
- Bring items to the upper level of our Parish House (gray building) anytime the Thrift Shop or Food Pantry are open. Someone will direct you to collection bins near the pantry doors.
- Donate Securely Online – Please be sure to select “Food Pantry” from the drop-down so that your donation is allocated correctly.
