Introducing our Transition Profile Team
Meet your Profile Team: Sara Schwartz, Beth Rathier and Renee Melaragno. They are busy compiling and processing the information collected during our Parish-wide meetings led by Canon Dena in order to formulate Trinity’s Parish Profile.
What is a Parish Profile? Think of it as our Job Posting. The Team uses the information gathered during our all-Parish meetings. During the first meeting, we reminisced about our previous rectors and how they led our community during their time serving at Trinity. During our second meeting we answered (in groups) a series of questions highlighting our collective preferences for worship, fellowship, outreach efforts, ministries, demographics, neighborhood, stewardship, and finances.
With the assistance of Cannon Dana, our Profile Team will summarize all the information into the correct format for the Office of Transition Ministry Portfolio database.
Upon completion of the Parish Profile, our the team will submit their draft to our Vestry to discuss any possible revisions. Once approved by the Vestry, it will be forwarded to Canon Dena for possible additional feedback. The next step is Bishop Knisley’s approval and upon his approval, Canon Dena will publish our “Rector Wanted” in the OTM database. This process will take several weeks.
Rectors from all around the United States who are looking to relocate to a new parish will review our Parish Profile, or in essence, our Job Posting, to see if they feel they are a good match for us and us for them. If interested they will apply through this database.
Using our “Prayer for a New Rector“, we collectively guide this process through the Holy Spirit.
