New Rector Search Communications Team
A message from Renee Brannigan and Terry Yeaw, co-chairs of the newly formed Rector Search Communications Team…

We would like to introduce ourselves as your Communications Team. Our task, during Trinity’s journey to find a new Rector, is to share information about the search progress and let you know what is coming next.
Our team will be working in conjunction with Justin Greenough and Matt Wojtaszek, Trinity’s Web and Social Media team. Last week, the four of us met to discuss Trinity’s web presence, which is a crucial component to our search. To our surprise, we learned that Trinity has a Blog area on the website. The posts appear on Trinity’s home page, and keep it up-dated with new information.
So then, we began brainstorming! How could we utilize this Blog to get the word out to all of you, the community, and potentially the future leader of our Church? We began talking about our idea of having each ministry chairs post a Blog entry about their ministry. Not many were willing or able to, but that won’t stop us! We’ve decided to put our idea into action by producing the first Blog post ourselves.
The Blog is only one component of the Communication Team’s efforts. We need everyone’s help. As the saying goes, “If you see something, say something.” If you know of something going on that is worthy of notice, please share it with us so that we can share with the rest of the community. Also, please keep in mind that pictures are worth a thousand words, If you take any great photos of happenings within our community, please pass them alone! We think it’s important for our whole congregation to participate.
If you have information or photos to share, please reach out to Renee Brannigan or Terry Yeaw. You may also email webmaster@trinitynorthscituate.org and the information will be forwarded on to them.
Where We Are Today
Our Prayer Team has crafted a prayer we should all be praying together during services. We know that everyone who is a part of the Trinity community understands the power of prayer. It is not surprising that the Prayer Team was the first team to be formed.
The Profile Team will be formed next. This team will be working with Canon Dena of the Bishop’s Office to cull through all the Parish History she collected in 2 hours during our latest meeting. Thank goodness there was food to nourish us through all the hard work! Our next meeting with be a Congregational Conversation and the information generated will assist in formulating our “Job Posting” for our new Rector.
The next group to form will be the Search Committee. The search committee will be charged with working with Canon Dena to review applicants, interview them, and make a final recommendation to the vestry.
While this is very important work, finding a new rector is not our only collective ministry during the next few months. We need to continue to Welcome, Inspire, Strengthen, and Encourage each other, always remembering that Trinity is not the Rector, and not the Building. Trinity Church is all of us, One Body in Christ.
